Some Like It Spicy? Just Kidding. Some Like It Hot!

Some Like It Hot was produced in 1959 by director Billy Wilder and starring the famous Marilyn Monroe, whom is considered a sex symbol today. It is considered one of the best comedies because of the many themes that were incorporated and surprisingly, they all were connected in a certain way. The most amazing thing about the film besides its hilarious comedy is the fact that this movie is in black and white! Even today, I believe that it surpass many of the great comedies ever made.

A major theme that made the movie funny was the way the males cross dressed and pretended to be of the opposite sex. It made the movie funnier because of the actors tone of voice, how they looked and acted. It also showed the characters traits such as love and how Joe really wants Sugar and pretends to be a millionaire and tries to be a girl in a band as well. In addition to that, the characters and how they reversed roles and pretended and knew how it felt to be a female. I thought that was unique because many males do not understand how hard it is sometimes and what goes on in the life and mind of a girl. For example, Joe always tried to get with Sugar but has never knew anything about her until they went to "his" yacht. It let the males learn a few things that they never knew before. Lastly, there is a huge sexual theme in here which comes from Marilyn Monroe's character Sugar. She is an attractive women who tries and gets an amazing guy who would treat her right. However, she only wants the rich males who can play the sax and destroys Joe's hopes of ever getting to her.

Lastly, this show received many awards such as the Golden Globe and Best Actors.
